Car Insurance Ford (Car Insurance). Please could someome explain to me about how fast boats go compared to mph!?

Please could someome explain to me about how fast boats go compared to mph!? I would like to kniw how fast boats go in mph. For example 20hp(horse power) what would that be in mph? Same for 15hp 40hp? Thaankyouu!

You cannot convert HP into speed (MPH or KPH). Even for land based vehicles. There's just no correlation between the two. If you want ot know how fast you're going, you'll need to carry a GPS with you. There are too many variables that affect water speed. The answer depends on how much load the boat is carrying, the materials the boat is made out of, the shape and design of the hull, and the condition of the water (current, fresh vs salt water, etc.). As a good example, I had a 14' aluminum runabout with a 33HP motor that would hit about 25 MPH. I bought a larger boat of the same kind and put a 40HP motor on it and I can only go about 22MPH. Both motors are old 2 strokes, tuned nicely, and built before 1970. Later motors with the same HP rating can actually put out more horsepower because they changed the way HP is measured. Other things that can make a difference is propeller design and trim (balance) of the boat. So as you can see, there is no simple answer.

Think a Chevy dealership would let me test drive a new car? I'm 17, a month and a half from being 18, and I am planning to buy a new car in the next three weeks. I have a 2011 Kia now, but it the handling/horsepower enough for driving around where I live and it's already been recalled three times. I really like the Camaro and wanted to go look at it. When I got my first car from my grandpa, the sales man from Kia let me drive a bunch while still on my permit. Well I now have my license, still have a perfect driving record, and good job with HP online sales so I am definitely looking into making a purchase (not the same day).. but I would like to test drive a few cars if I can. Think they'd let me? car insurance.

Ford . How to Change the Air Filter on a Toyota FJ Cruiser

The engine air filter in the Toyota FJ Cruiser plays a vital role in the performance of the vehicle by preventing debris and dust from entering the engine. Even small particles that are allowed to enter the engine can lead to engine damage. Toyota recommends replacing the engine air filter at least every 30,000 miles and inspecting the filter as part of routine maintenance. The filter should be replaced whenever it appears clogged or dirty.
Difficulty:Moderate
Instructions Things You'll Need
Replacement air filterSuggest EditsItem AddWhy is it necessary?Done

Step by Step :
1
Turn the engine off. Open the hood.
2
Locate the air filter housing on the passenger's side of the engine compartment. The housing is a black plastic unit with a large hose protruding from the left side.
3
Unclip the two clips on the front of the filter housing cover.
4
Lift the housing cover off of the housing. The filter is located inside the housing cover.
5
Pull the old filter out of the housing cover.
6
Insert the new air filter into the housing cover. The filter can only fit in one way because of its shape.
7
Replace the housing cover in its original position.
8
Snap the clips closed on the front of the housing. Close the hood.

Ford . How to Change an Automobile Air Filter

For most vehicles, the air filter should be replaced at regular intervals.
Difficulty:Moderately Easy
Instructions Things You'll Need
Air filter
Dust cloth
Spray furniture polish (Endust or equivalent)

Step by Step :
1
Raise the hood of the vehicle and locate the air filter housing. Most are housed in plastic containers with screw-on or clip-on covers. Remove the cover and old air cleaner.
2
Spray the housing and lid with aerosol dust polish. Wipe them clean and repeat as needed. This will leave a smooth, dust-repellent surface that will help air flow to the engine.
3
Install a new, quality air filter. The old filter becomes embedded with dust particles; while the filter may appear clean, the filter capability is compromised. Replace the filter housing cover.

Rear coil springs have rubber bushings to cushion Control arm bushings (lower) them. u* Torsion bars: These are a popular type of spring used on the fronts of many sport-utility vehicles and trucks. They usually run parallel to the frame and are attached to the control arm at one end and the cross member at the other end (see Figure 16-9). Torsion bar springs require no lubrication. Most are adjustable, meaning that if your vehicle is sitting too high or low, you can make an adjustment by turning an adjusting bolt. *<* Air springs: These are filled with the right amount of compressed air to control the ride and maintain the proper height. A computer monitors the ride height and signals an on-board air compressor to pump more air into the air springs whenever weight is added to the vehicle. When the weight is removed, the computer turns on an exhaust solenoid to let air out of the air springs (see Figure 16-10). Usually, there's nothing to lubricate with air springs. But check with the dealer to find out whether it's okay to apply a rubber conditioner to the air bags to prevent them from wearing out prematurely. Taking care of the stabilizers Stabilizers keep the passenger part of the vehicle from swaying and lurching on sharp curves and turns and when the wheels are traveling over uneven ground (a better solution than the legendary mountain goat that had shorter legs on one side than on the other for traveling along slopes!). There are various kinds of stabilizers, but all you need to know is that you can lubricate the rubber parts yourself. Chapter 16: Lubrication Extends the Life of Your Vehicle

work. 2 CA Part III: Keeping Your Car in Good Condition, System by System Dealing urith shocks and struts Located near each wheel, shock absorbers do most of the work of protecting the passenger compartment from bumps. Chapter 11 provides details about shock absorbers that are worth reviewing before you read this section. Many vehicles are equipped with MacPherson strut suspension instead of conventional shocks. This simplified and improved system takes up less space and Is well worth having. The downside is that because MacPherson struts are surrounded by, and assembled with, the suspension springs, they're always under spring pressure and therefore must be replaced professionally. You may be taking your life in your hands if you tamper with them. (Chapter 11 has information and illustrations of MacPherson and other strut systems.) You can tell whether your vehicle needs new shock absorbers by leaning heavily on a fender or placing your weight on a bumper and then releasing it suddenly, watching to see whether the vehicle returns slowly to its original position. If it continues to bob up and down, you need new shocks. Another way is to stop fairly short. If your car dips up and down a couple of times before coming to rest, you need new shocks. Bad shock absorbers increase tire wear and can cause you to lose control of the steering if you go over bumps and dips at high speeds. If any of these things seems to be happening to you, have your shocks replaced. Although replacing standard shock absorbers isn't hard, the job can be brutal if you have to jack up your vehicle and crawl under it. Unless you can replace them under supervision on the lift at an auto class, I strongly recommend having a professional do it for you. To save money, buy the shocks yourself and pay a professional to install them. The store will know what type of suspension system your vehicle has and what kind of shocks it needs. Within limits, you do have a choice: "Heavyduty" shocks provide a slightly harder ride; other shocks may not do as well with the entire family and two Great Danes in the car, but give a softer ride. Some shocks even provide automatic level control for vehicles that carry loads ranging from very heavy to almost weightless. Suit yourself. Chapter 17
